I bought a lovely wooden box of Viners Sable when we
first got married and still keep it 'for best', and it will
be 40 years old next September, and have only just thought
of adding to it. I count it back into the box and last week
I lost a dinner fork. I hunted 'high and low' and even
'prayed' to St. Anthony who is the patron saint of lost
items, still it didn't turn up, my husband had the dustbin
turned upside down, nothing. Then on monday morning, I got a
long stick and pushed it under the fridge which is next to
the dishwasher and hey ho.............the fork was there.
One of my kittens had obviously 'bopped' it under there. So
St. Anthony came 'up trumps' once again, and I decided to
google Viners Sable and your website came up. |

Four of us have been
looking for a replacement for about 8 years. We
contacted Viners directly at one point, but the mold for
that pattern had been removed some eons ago. When I
found your site with the Spring Rose pattern I was over
the moon, as we all thought we'd never see it again.
As I said, the canteen of
cutlery was a gift from my mum's father to her, so was
of great sentimental value, and to my mum, having a
piece gone was like a finger missing. Now the transplant
